2022

I am delighted to share the ‘The Wild Places’ series. This body of work was inspired by the Peaks, moorland and forests of Cheshire and has been a personal journey of connecting with emotion and place.

 

The colours of the dark peaks, heather-filled moors and dense forest provided constant inspiration for this collection which was completed in 2022. The changing weather also offered new ways of seeing, such as the mist rolling in, which created an incredible softness to the compositions of ‘Moorland Mist’ and ‘Heathland Heather’. The ochres, deep greens, and beautiful earthy reds and purple tones capture the colour and energy of these places, which inspire and inhabit my imagination.
